It is still in its box.I have not had the time to look at it yet.But it will be impressive.

Believe the hype...

Believe the hype, this Deltic is excellent. The model's finesse is execptional and a real delight to behold (light up dials in the cab!). And on track, it runs smoothly and has pulling power to spare. You feel like you are watching the real thing in miniature.

Moreover, you can buy with confidence given Accurascale's unsurpassed customer service. Upon request, they sent out a replacement windscreen wiper to repair the only minor missing part on my model within 48 hours.

What could Accurascale do better? Not much. Maybe the paint would be enhanced with a slightly more satin finish. But beyond this, you'd be looking to fix problems that dont exist.

Whether you model the East Coast Mainline, admire early British diesels, or just want a cracking model for a reasonable price, Accurascale have nailed it with the Deltic.

An excellent loco from Accurascale

I purchased the first Porterbrook version and the D9000 has been improved, the chains in particular. There appears to be a problem with incorrect lighting although there are fixes published. The finish is perfect and it runs well except at very low speeds where it is a little jerky, similar to the 1st release.
Overall a very good loco for a reasonable cost.

Absolutely amazing fine detail. Very impressed, with even the engines visible behind the windows, cab dash lighting and lots of separately fitted parts. Runs extremely smoothly. Seems perfect.

Wonderful!

I love this model! It looks fantastic, runs beautifully and sounds great. I purchased the sound decoder separately and I am very impressed with it. My only gripe is that the sound file cannot be supplied separately so I am stuck with it or I lose it if I load a different one. Accurascale are not the only manufacturer with this limitation however. I realise not everyone is interested in loading their own sound files but a lot of us do own the programmer needed and are not being catered for, hence the four stars. Otherwise.. BRILLIANT!
