Model is fantastic. Runs like a dream. Only negative is that the headcode and cab lights flicker at one end

Wonderful looking loco feels very well made. Great box and packaging paper work and loco history.

Great Loco but…

Not just this loco, but I’ve found that Accurascale locos are too delicate for the eggshell design packaging. Anytime a loco is opened , the packaging usually knocks off the NEM Pocket as the packaging is too short for the loco. On the 92s, they usually come with at least one grille fallen off as well as the coupler pocket. Trying to reattach these is a nightmare as the pantograph heads pop off and take ages to get back on again. A stronger system is needed Accurascale. Apart from that, great job on this and other models.

What do I buy next?

This is an absolutely stunning model phenomenal detail and an incredibly smooth & quiet runner. I still get surprised at how heavy it is every time I pick it up. I am currently using a basic DCC controller from hornby so I can’t access some of the functions but plans are afoot. Thank you. Could I suggest a detailed Stirling single next…

What’s stunning loco. Such a shame a mishap with the lights but that aside a beautiful and lovely sounding locomotive. Can’t wait for the 50s.

Yet another fantastic model from Accurascale. This second run definitely has improvements over the first run particularly with the way the hand brake chains ae attached. The guard irons on the bogies also seem better, or at least less likely to fall off, based on my experience so far. It is great to see that accurascale are listening to comments and are making improvements instead of just churning out models with known problems. I can't wait to see what other improvements there will be in the third run of Deltics.

A great Model

I puchased this model along with D9018 to add to my collection of Deltic engines. I was not disappointed with my purchase. It is an accurate well detailed model that met with my expectations.
I remember these locos from my childhood, sitting on the chalk cliffs outside Hitchin station collecting numbers and listening to the roar of the engines as they accellerated away to London or the North.
A truly excellent representation of the sound and sight of these powerful locos.

The locomotive is modelled as it appeared in the 1990’s when on hire to Virgin Cross Country. It’s brings back happy memories of travelling Birmingham to Ramsgate and back on summer Saturdays.
