Approaching 25 years old and still in its original maroon and gold, 66171 has had a few additional warning labels but still carries the moniker of its original owner, EWS. A real go anywhere locomotive and is suitable for use right up to the present day.
Our Class 66 model is based on the award winning ‘accura-standard’ platform, with all-wheel powered six-axle bogies, a powerful twin flywheel fitted motor and market leading electronics package.

Thank you Accurascale for reminding me of the pleasure or receiving a new locomotive. Looks great, feels great and runs great straight from the box. Well priced and a lifetime warranty. An essential model for any modern layout and a joy to run.
Fantastic detail
Installed my own DCC sound and speaker on this model with ease, near enough plug and play. Top job Accurascale.

BUT why o why did i have to go on line to access the instructions
on how to fit the bufferbeams when all that was required was one
sheet of paper to be included with the model with the instructions
printed on it SO MUCH EASIER
I was not a Class 66 fan, but just had to own one of these in EWS livery. A stunning model, both smooth running, and powerful. Now I regret not buying the sound version when I had chance.

So happy I purchased this model I’m a big fan of the EWS livery and this model didn’t disappoint,I fitted a driver and mate I purchased from Accurascale taking the body off and cabin was so easy following the guidance on the Accurascale website, the driver a crew mate added to the amazing detail this model as plus such a smooth runner
