One of the best OO purchases I've ever made

This oozes quality: it's heavy, incredibly detailed and runs fantastically. The livery application is sublime and my only regret is that I'm not 1:76 scale myself so that I can get an ever closer look.

Had a issue with the manor it would get suck in reverse, Accurascale replaced it with a new one, quickly and efficiently, sadly left my decoder in the one I sent back , thankfully Accurascale sent me a replacement, it took a little while but all sorted now, really appreciate all there help. As for the loco it's self, at the moment I'm thinking about getting another one, need I say more . Smooth runner, stunning detail.

!!

Looks ok, ran ok, chimney fell off when we opened the packing, didn't want it so flogged it! At least the wheels didn't wobble like all the other manufacturers over priced models.

A Tale Of Two Manors

I usually buy sound fitted models from Accurascale but on this occasion I purchased the locomotive and sound decoder as separate items. The installation of the sound decoder was straightforward and I proceeded to 'run in' the model. Running silently there was quite a significant 'gear' noise as the loco initially moved forward. When moving in reverse the loco 'locked up' after moving a short distance. At the second attempt of reverse running it again locked up. I contacted Accurascale and the loco was returned. I felt the locking was a gear issue rather than a side rod issue. I was swiftly notified that a replacement locomotive was being sent. There seemed to be hiccup in the system as a replacement wasn't forthcoming. I left it for a couple of weeks but nothing appeared so I contacted Accurascale again. Whatever had gone wrong was swiftly rectified and a replacement arrived. The second loco is a lovely quiet and smooth runner in both directions.
Duly run in and working nicely I turned to the sound. The loco isn't the loudest I've ever heard. I knew the warranty would be void but I decided to replace the tender speaker. Looking inside, I'm wondering if the original intention was to put two sugarcube speakers in the tender? The speaker housing certainly looks that way. Anyway, the standard tender speaker is out and a bass enhanced replacement lives there now. It's still not as loud as I would choose, but so be it.
Accurascale driver & fireman now crew it and real coal is in the tender. It is certainly a beautifully detailed model and in that respect is faultless (to me).. it runs very smoothly and 'looks the part'.

I have had this for a few months now and can confirm it runs faultlessly.
It was a bit tight for 2 circuits of radius 2 out of the box and then smooth from then on.
The detail and finish is superb and is as good or better than models I have purchased at twice the price.
I look forward to more larger steam engines from you in the future.

Excellent in every way. The included headboards really are the icing on the cake. Well done Accurascale!

Unbeatable

Everything about this model sings quality. From the fine moulding to the pin sharp decoration, its simply sublime. Easily the best quality steam era model I have owned

I don’t model steam normally although sometimes rule 1 has to come into play on a layout.
