SR D1478

A really nicely made van, adds some welcome variety to my rake of assorted vans. Would have been 5* except for the coupling, which has a shorter shank than the standard NEM, (presumably to accommodate some of the underframe detail) so if you want to swap out the tension locks for another type of coupling such as Kadee’s, it requires some cannibalisation which is a shame on such an otherwise excellent product.

Banana / Transitional Vans

Once again an excellent model, and Accurascale are clearly pushing their already very high standards even higher. This model is highly recommended.

Separately, some difficulties were experienced with the courier misplacing part of the delivery, but Accurascale stepped in and relaced the misplaced delivery, proving that their customer service is also to very high standards.

An excellent model, from an excellent company.

SR Banana Vans

Excellent models - my only comment is regarding the marketing - i would have preferred a mixed pack of diagrams and/or liveries.

What a fabulous model!

Amazing detail above and below the sole bar. The delicacy of the door mechanisms and the detail of the brake gear is terrific. The same goes for the Diag 1479 models.

SR D1478 Van - British Railways (1948-1961) - Triple Pack

Models arrived exceptionally well packaged from the UK to Australia! The models themselves are really of museum class, the detail on the underframe and brakegear is superb. Wheels are very free running and nicely blackened. the bodies are beautifully moulded and the colour rendition is perfect, with lettering and other printing supersharp. A very high bar has been set with these models, I look forward to my J68/9!
