Class 37 - 6992

Another model that runs smooth and quiet straight from the box. The sound is superb when powered up. The loco looks much better with the body sitting lower on the bogies, the reduced clearance has not affected the running. The bogie chains are a big improvement over the Deltic. Decoration is spot on of an early pre tops re-paint .

Pre Tops Blue Class 37

All I can say is wow, what a great looking loco.
Will look really good when I weather it.
I ran loco on a roundy round test track for about 4 hours and it ran faultlessly.
I was a bit concerned if it had the motor issues as in run 1 but this is definitely not a problem with batch 2.
Fitted the crew which was very easy so she is nearly ready for service.
Great Loco really pleased with it.

Superb model

This 37 is simply quite stunning, looks like the real thing and performs very well straight out of the box. I chose a sound fitted version, and it's excellent, with just the right volume level and many features to make the driving experience truly immersive. Well done Accurascale.

37 - BR Blue pre-TOPS - D6992 - DCC Sound Fitted

37 - BR Blue pre-TOPS, as always good quality, product fantastic design and detail, sounds grate, easy access to the interior, you can gently pull the sides with no tools and the body comes away with ease. I do have a slight problem the lighting for the head coad doesn't light up all of the numbers at both ends. Been in touch with accuascale. Very helpful, especially Simon, he gives me faith it will be sorted, so I keep coming back, other companies with similar issues haven't been very helpful, so no longer shop there. Now just waiting for a solution, witch I'm sure accuascale will sort out as they have done in the past.

Fantastic evocative model!

Exactly as I remember seeing the real loco at Barry Island, back in 1969! Sound is excellent, even on DC. Thank you.

Classy 37!

From ordering to receiving my pre-tops class 37, I couldn’t fault the experience - once opened and placed on the track my experience continued to get better.
Accurascale seems to have embraced what railway modeller’s need with excellent sound, factory fitted stay alive, superb running and seemingly great warranty - what more could you want?
Well, more of the same so now ordered a 57xx in the hope it matched the experience so far. Well done Accurascale!

What a great model. Nicely applied livery captures very nicely the early style of BR blue. Not fully run in yet but runs nice n smooth.

D6992

Another fine looking model from Accurascale and I love the fact that they offer a version in pre-TOPS blue, which is a welcome change and very much appreciated by me and others that model this period.
I do have a couple of very small issues. The buffer beam pipes supplied are beautifully modelled though I found the control air and main res pipes too long which would cause fouling when running. I ended up shortening the pipes by approx 4mm and touching in the ends of the pipes with a tiny amount of white/yellow paint as appropriate.
The other issue is with the removal of the keeper plate for lubrication and/or fitting EM/P4 wheelsets. I found this very fiddly, necessitating removal of the bogie side frames and the cross members, which I struggled to get back into their correct position afterwards. For the majority of older, less detailed models, removal of the keeper plate was simply a matter of popping off the 4 or 6 side clips, have we perhaps sacrificed simplicity for extra detail?
One of the nose end lamp irons was missing but AS support are sending me another in the post, so hardly the end of the world. Also, one of the buffers had fallen off, but again, hardly earth shattering and was easy enough to fix back into position.
Overall a lovely model and I'm looking forward to running it for many years.
