37902 British Steel Llanwern
Rilasciato al traffico in forma ripotenziata contemporaneamente a Pioniere di Mirrlees Nell'ottobre 1986, la 37902 fu ricostruita a partire dalla 37148/D6848 e, a parte qualche problema al silenziatore e al turbocompressore, dimostrò rapidamente l'impressionante affidabilità e l'efficienza dei consumi della combinazione MB275T e dell'alternatore Brush BA1005A. Come diversi membri della sottoclasse Classe 37/9, fu inizialmente riverniciata nella versione senza marchio della nuova immagine Railfreight in grigio triplo disegnata da Roundel, e mantenne questo aspetto fino ai primi mesi del 1991, quando fu applicato il marchio del sottosettore Metals. La livrea fu ulteriormente impreziosita nel luglio successivo con la denominazione British Steel Llanwern e l'aggiunta degli stemmi della British Steel e delle targhe del deposito di Cardiff Canton. Il nome durò solo 15 mesi prima di essere rimosso durante un periodo di deposito e sostituito con il 56054. Rimessa in servizio all'inizio del 1993, la locomotiva mantenne le sue targhe fino al 1997 e fu regolarmente impiegata sui treni in acciaio diretti nelle Midlands fino all'inizio dell'era EWS. Una delle ultime due locomotive ad essere ritirate nel gennaio 1999, insieme alla locomotiva n. 37906, la 37902 non avrebbe beneficiato di alcuna sospensione o conservazione del patrimonio storico EWS. Nonostante un breve momento di ottimismo nel 2002, quando fu acquistata da Direct Rail Services come banco di prova per motori, i piani per un ritorno in servizio furono accantonati e la locomotiva fu spedita alla Sims Metals di Beeston nel marzo 2005 per lo smaltimento.
