Repainted in the controversial general grey paint scheme in May 1990, like the majority of locomotives to gain this livery 37258 quickly swapped it for the 'Dutch' variant, being outshopped with the upper body yellow band in September 1991, also receiving a high visibility headlight, cast double arrows and Cardiff Canton depot plaques at the same time. Other distinctive spotting features include cast bogies and Western Region and standard lamp irons. Although wearing the colours of the civil engineer's department, the locomotive saw regular freight use as well as deputising on the Cardiff-Bristol Temple Meads-Weymouth summer dated services and passenger trains to the Glastonbury Festival throughout the 1990s. It lost its cast accoutrements in 1997 and was renumbered as 38384 the following year after being shod with a set of regeared CP7 bogies. It was eventually stored in 1999, still in 'Dutch' colours.

What a stunning model this is.
Another step up from Accurascale again.
It's becoming hard to find something new to say about each new model from these guys.
Exceptional attention to details specific to each locomotive makes these these models at the top of the pile.

Class 37 BR 'Dutch' (37258)

My latest purchase from Accurascale is Class 37 BR 'Dutch'. As with all Accurascale models, the detail is superb. The model has a very attractive livery and the weight will give good adhesion. Overall, a very impressive looking model.

Cracking Tractor!

This release was thoroughly worth the wait, a 'Dutch' 37 with superb opportunity for some real modelling fun. Running on a pair of cast bogies, this loco gives the chance to model some different examples in the 37/0 fleet. The livery is crisply printed with bold colours, ripe for personalising into a 1990s freight workhorse - I can't wait to get started!

My third Acc 37 and they are all very good. Smooth running and good traction. Slightly lost detail above the buffer beam and on headlight cluster on this Dutch one but overall Wow the standard of RTR modelling today is unrecognisable from my youth. Pricing and loyalty credits are why I keep waiting for more!

Excellent detail and performance.. looks just like the real thing brings back good memories of the 90s sporting the real things at Immingham Tinsley, they have got the livery bang on..

Been waiting for this one since it was announced, one of my favourite locos in one of my favourite liveries. It looks great, it runs great, just the motivation to get the loft sorted so I can start building. Just need no new announcements so I can buy some wood and some track…..
