High Performance traction features;

  • High quality 5-pole motor with two large flywheels
  • Helical Gear box for maximum performance and slow speed running
  • Gearing arranged so locomotive can achieve a scale top speed of 90 mph (145 km/h)
  • Outer axles on bogies are driven (sprung dummy centre axle) and all wheel pickup

Fully detailed Lighting Pack features:

  • Directional lighting, DC and DCC
  • Lighting clusters with appropriate day and night-time settings
  • Switchable Red and white marker lights (red can be switched individual lights or both on)
  • Separately switched cab lighting and illuminated, driver’s desk with auto/off on movement

Excellent model

Excellent model, well detailed cab, undersides and the application of livery, price of Basic Analogue version is extremely fair and competitive, most excellent mechanism, had it run low - medium speed on my short straight test track.

Brilliant Class 31

I knew this locomotive was going to be good but it is exceptional. The detail, paint finish, working roof fan etc are superb, it comes alive with the most realistic sound I have heard in a model locomotive. The cold start is brilliant and I love it.

Another cracking model

My second Accurascale diesel, after the 37, and this one in my opinion is even more impressive. The crucial face of the Class 31 has been captured better than any other manufacturer so far. It also runs likes a sewing machine straight out of the box. Overall a very impressive model, can't wait for the arrival of the Class 50s.

A stunning model at every level

This is my first Accurascale locomotive and it is a delight to own and operate. Everything from the fine detailing of the body and underframe to the silky-smooth, silent running is very impressive. The easily-opened roof hatch for access to electrics is an excellent innovation. Accurascale is to be complemented on offering all this at a sensible and realistic price. I shall soon be buying another Accurascale loco!

I’ve had a number of 31 over the year from the Lima to the Hornby but his model is just superb.

I love the level of detail and the fact that the accessories pack contains spare glazing which is such a difference from Bachmann. The paper work is brilliant. One minor issue is that the fitting of buffer beam pipe is a bit confusing a utube link would be useful.

Class 31.

Another amazing locomotive from accurascale. Runs without fault and in near silence. Love the different head codes supplied. Looks superb in BR Blue. Blown away with this one.
