  • Bauxite, Pre-TOPS livery
  • 1/120 pattern
  • OLEO Buffers
  • Roller Bearing Axle-boxes
  • Introduced in 1961
  • 3,950 wagons built to this pattern
  • Additional Flap Doors on sides, which MDO did not carry
  • Remained in service until 1992
  • Ran in block rakes, and mixed with other coal wagons such as 16t minerals (MCO), 21t hoppers (HTV), 24.5t minerals (MEO), etc.

Really nice wagons

I Love Bauxite 21 Tonners

Absolutely love these wagons, I bought several packs of your original batch in plain bauxite (with the coupling hiccup corrected), and now we have pack F with the South Wales & Monmouthshire lettering, so i've bought even more! These wagons are iconic in South Wales, either with brakes squealing running loaded down hill, or with a Class 37 dragging the empties back up the valley.

These wagons are excellent in every way. Running is smooth and everything you expect from an Accurascale product. The warning is that they are addictive so buying one pack is not enough. A++++
