They were used after their retirement from BR service in the NCB open cast mine Onllwyn in Wales, where they were deployed on an internal railway system under the stewardship of NCB Opencast Executive. These remained in service on the private railway with 16 and 21-ton former BR stock until the mid-1990s. Perfect for running with your NCB shunters!

Excellent wagons

Bought these to go with an NCB Hornby Peckett, knew exactly what I was getting as I had several of the light grey pre-tops version.

NCB Coal Hoppers.

Just received my NCB liveried HOP24/HUO coal hoppers and coal loads, they look great with the coal loads installed.
They're highly detailed in their own right, run smoothly and give my NCB Janus, my NCB liveried class 14 Teddy Bear & other NCB loco's a real purpose.
