Wee stunner

Finally bit the bullet and bought myself a wee treat. What a stunning little loco it is, so much so I may need to invest in another.

I am very pleased with the engine. It runs well.
My only disappointment is that I ordered and paid for it from Hattons. I was informed that the order was being transferred to yourselves. I have copied the original order to accurscale but you informed me that you had no knowledge of the order. Have there been other instances of this happening?
The engine has turned out to be a very expensive purchase

Great little saddle tank

One of two ordered. This one runs perfectly smoothly and at slow shunting pace too. Driven one of these at the heritage railway I volunteer at and very accurate details. Luckily I don't do DCC but if I was too I would suggest that chip installation be made easier either by adding in through the smoke box or easy removals of the tank only. Similar to what dapol (sorry for swearing lol) done with their Hawthorne. Apart from that the fine decoration is exquisite along with the fine details and can't fault it. It pulled four Hornby lner teaks. Overall 10 out of 10. Review video will also be up on my YouTube channel soon.

Accurascale Barclay 0-4-0ST

A lovely little loco, runs really well. Beautiful livery application - top quality. The usual excellent Accurascale packaging. Only one slight niggle - one of the toolboxes/sandboxes had come adrift and was loose in the packaging - soon refitted with a tiny spot of glue.

Not impressed so far

I ordered this loco on the 16th of November. I did not receive the order until 10 days later on the 26th, although the website said it was in stock and ready to ship, and then it was the wrong model. I e-mailed the same day to say this was the case but received no response. I went onto the online chat two days later and, eventually, was sent a returns label. But I have to wait until the loco has been returned before Accurascale will send me the right one. So, two weeks after placing my order I still have no loco and no idea when I will get it. They say they want to provide the "exceptional service we'd want to experience ourselves". On the basis of this experience, I'd say they are falling short.

A Real Mans Industrial Tank

Barclays were always solid little bulldogs And this model Follows that mold . Got on you Accurascale for bringing them back .

I ordered and received two of the Andrew Barclay models. They both arrived safely and securely packed. The boxes are somewhat large for such a small model but this is something that I have come to experiment Accurascale and it can only serve to keep the model safe, even if the box then takes up a lot of space if retained.
Examination of the appearance of the model is very positive, they are lovely well detailed models finished, I think, to a better quality than their Hattons predecessors.
That's where my positive comments on the model ends. Both models arrived with their motors dislodged and not meshed with the gearbox, therefore when power was supplied the motors turned over but the models didn't move. Contact with the manufacturer resulted in a rapid reply and useful advice and video on how to remove the body to reseat the motor. This is a fiddly operation, not for tbe faint hearted or lacking in dexterity or suitable tools. I was successful in removing both bodies but found the cradle of the motor is made from a flexible plastic which cannot hold the motor in place. On one model the motor wasn't held tight enough to remain engaged long enough to apply power,on the other it stayed in place allowing me to get the body back on, more fiddly than taking it off, but it disengaged again during running in. I my view the design is at fault and as far as I am concerned the models are not fit for purpose. I am sending them back and requesting a refund not a replacement.
To end on a positive note however I have nothing but praise for Accurascale's after market customer service, and I understand the issues of taking on this project fr Hattons.

Super little loco.

This is a beautiful little model, superbly decorated and with masses of fine detail. It ran smoothly straight from the box and was surprisingly powerful, hauling several carriages easily at a sensible speed for a small shunting loco.

Neatly Executed Gem of a Loco

Only run in on a rolling road so fa, but the loco seems to be a good runner with a realistic creep( DC model) Fie glow works, but always on (DC) Beautiful finish on the loco, cisp blue and lining, nice matt black where appropriate
