  • 3,950 wagons built to this pattern
  • Additional Flap Doors on sides, which MDO did not carry
  • Remained in service until 1992
  • Ran in block rakes, and mixed with other coal wagons such as 16t minerals (MCO), 21t hoppers (HTV), 24.5t minerals (MEO), etc.

Superbly mundane!

Great wagons

Picked up some packs of these wagons in the Accurascale sale to make up a rake of 15, very pleased with them. They look just the part behind BR blue diesels. Just need to get some loads for them now

Great looking wagon

Excellent detail, in particular the underframe. Really good rendition of the Bauxite colour and nice to see the inside painted a different colour. Really like the hand written markings on the wagon, a nice touch and really well done. Free running and quiet. Cam-mounted couplers with no droop or slop in the mechanism. Look great in a rake behind a Class 31. Really well done. look forward to the 16t wagons coming out.
