NCB no. 47

On arrival, the loco was free rolling, as if it had no motor or gearing. I emailed Accurascale immediately and they got back to me within two hours to offer apologies and an easy to follow solution. As it transpired, the motor had simply shifted out of alignment. The loco now runs perfectly, and looks great with its light blue livery shining in the light.

Excellent model, with excellent customer service to match.

NCB Blue Andrew Barclay 0-4-0

The incredible attention to detail on this model is simply superb.
There is a charm about these industrial locos and Accurascale have paid tribute to these hard working locos in OO scale and this will add another level of detail to any modeller creating a typical industrial colliery scene.

Great little loco.

I am pleased with this wee loco. I did have a bit of an issue with one nut coming loose on one of the coupling rods. Just keep an eye on these and tighten them up. They are 1.5mm nuts so search your toolbox for the smallest bit.

Another lovely little model from Accurascale. I know that this model was originally designed by Hattons but it is good to see Accurascale taking it over. My "Caledonia" ran well straight from the box and I am looking forward to fitting a decoder once they become available. My model did not suffer the distortion to the cab back that has been reported by some purchasers. This seems to be a problem relating to poor positioning of the model within the plastic clamshell packaging and is not a universal fault.

Andrew Barclay works number 2157 of 1943

Thank you for producing a Scottish colliery pug. This is a great model and is very powerful for its size. This locomotive was originally built for use in Royal Ordnance Factories, one of several that were supplied as oil burners. After WW2 it was sold to the Fife Coal Company, in 1947 it passed to the NCB. It last worked at Kinneil Colliery, Bo'ness where it carried a mid-green livery. It went to Cowdenbeath Central Workshops in 1976 for overhaul assessment, later it was decided to dispose of the locomotive, which led to it being sold for scrap in 1977. It is now being restored at the Swindon & Cricklade Railway.

A delightful little locomotive

Actually Accurascale may have thought I received the locomotive around 4th November but I actually received it on the 13th. They need to sort out their relationship with Royal Mail because delivery was a source of confusion for many purchasers. Anyway it arrived in its massive box (far too big in my opinion) and still not able to prevent damage issues for some purchasers. Mine was fine though and the issue with the motor and gears engagement was not an issue either for me so I am pleased with my purchase. It's been on the rolling road for a while with another run before I chip it and from sounding a little rough to start with it has become a smooth runner in both directions and seems to have an excellent slow speed performance. Can't try it with a load yet but it seems to have plenty of power. If it pulls 10 wagons I'll be happy, more and I'll be
ecstatic . Finish is excellent. Very good value for money purchase and brilliant project by the wonderful Hattons and carried on by Accurascale.

What a little stunner!

Wow, what more can I say about this little beauty, so much character in something so small, I like it so much, I have another livery on order !

Good to see these return

It was a pleasant surprise when these were taken on from Hattons . I have two of the original Hattons batch and now have a third . A nicely detailed little model . Wondering if Accurascale will announce the HO generic coaches in the future / others not yet done . Keeping a look eye on future Barclays . Every small industry layout should have one at least 😄
