A nice model, ran great straight from the box. The perfect addition to my layout.

Ordered two of the Accurascale Barclays taken on by Accurascale from the former Hatton's programme. I am delighted with both. 'Victory' is small loco packed with fine detail, with an excellent application of the livery, decals and wasp stripes. This is a smooth runner and a powerful little loco, easily capable of hauling prototypical loads - and more. Well done Accurascale!

I was literally stunned by the Barclay when I opened the box. It looks amazing. I already own an original Hattons model, but the quality of painting on this version (Victory) is off the dial. Everything was fine until I put it under power...
Forewarned by comments on line, I was able to remove the body and persuade the worm to mesh with the gears. A very simple job, but not one for the non-technically minded amongst us. It wasn't a deal breaker, but it did take the edge off an otherwise decent experience..

Would go as far as saying better than the original hattons release

Loverly addition to my collection & have ordered another different one. Just ordered the Crews for these which is a plus. Can't vouch for running as I have no layout.

This is a lovely little industrial engine with plenty of character. Straight out of the box it ran beautifully with flawless motion. It seems like there has been some improvement to the motor, as it is a lot less 'jerky' than its Hatton predecessors (of which I own six engines). So pleased I ordered another. My only issue is the size of the box it came in, because it takes up a lot of storage space. However you cannot fault it as protection for this superb little engine.

A lovely model of a Barclay 0-4-0ST 14". Superb wasp stripes front and back. Great detailing on this industrial loco. The model is first class...a little gem.
I was disappointed that there was no historical narrative of the loco, and I feel that the size of the box is far too large and bulky...it could be half the size and still work.

Despite its tiny size and short wheelbase, Victory was a smooth, slow runner straight from the box on plain DC. I'm very pleased with this and glad that Accurascale took on my Hattons pre-order. I'd love to see an EM conversion pack for this little beast!
