37902 Aço Britânico Llanwern
Liberado para o tráfego em forma repotenciada ao mesmo tempo que Pioneiro Mirrlees Em outubro de 1986, o 37902 foi reconstruído a partir do 37148/D6848 e, além de problemas com o silenciador e o turbocompressor, demonstrou rapidamente a impressionante confiabilidade e eficiência de combustível da combinação MB275T e alternador Brush BA1005A. Como vários membros da subclasse Classe 37/9, foi inicialmente repintado na versão sem marca da nova imagem cinza triplo da Railfreight, projetada por Roundel, e manteve essa aparência até os primeiros meses de 1991, quando a marca do subsetor Metals foi aplicada. A pintura foi ainda mais aprimorada em julho do ano seguinte com sua nomenclatura. Aço Britânico Llanwern e a adição dos brasões da British Steel e das placas do depósito de Cardiff Canton. O nome durou apenas 15 meses antes de ser removido durante um período de armazenamento e trocado para 56054. Retornada ao tráfego no início de 1993, a locomotiva manteve suas placas até 1997 e foi uma locomotiva regular em trens de aço para as Midlands até o início da era EWS. Sendo uma das últimas duplas a ser aposentada em janeiro de 1999, juntamente com a nº 37906, não haveria suspensão e preservação da frota histórica EWS para a locomotiva 37902. Embora tenha havido um breve surto de otimismo em 2002, quando foi adquirida pela Direct Rail Services como um banco de testes de motores, os planos para um retorno ao serviço foram cancelados e ela foi despachada para a Sims Metals em Beeston em março de 2005 para descarte.
