

La classe S56 n° 84 était l'un des derniers lots de dix locomotives construites pour le Great Eastern Railway, à Order P57, à Stratford en 1904 et constituées la plupart des améliorations apportées à la classe R24 dans le programme d'amélioration de 1902. Le n° 84 est représenté dans la livrée GER classique d'Outremer Bleu avec doublure Vermillion et lettrage ombré, car il a fonctionné depuis le hangar de Stratford jusqu'à ce qu'il soit repeint dans la livrée grise "austérité" du GER en 1915.
