Disappointing. Damaged and Doesn't Run.

Was really looking forward to receiving this model. Sadly, when it arrived, like several other open cab rear versions that I've heard of anecdotally, the cab rear was bent inwards by pressure from the protective clamshell, which is obviously too tight. My disappointment deepened when I finally got to test run it on the DC layout at my local club. Lot's of excited whirring from the motor, but no forward or backward movement. The motor had not been properly fitted and the worm gear on the motor doesn't engage with the rest of the locomotive's gearing. It's a beautiful model - the decoration is superb. Just a shame that the two most fundamental requirements, arriving undamaged and working have not been met. It's going back to Accurascale.

I love Wallace. A little model with great color and detail all around.

A excellent model and heavy for it's size. One problem was that the loco was free running, Accurascale forwarded link to refit motor which had lifted out of the gear wheel, in doing this a small piece, not sure of its name, came adrift and not sure how to refit, awaiting instructions to show how, otherwise high standard of service from Accurascale as usual.

Amazing attention detail

The size of the package when it arrived made me wonder if it was the correct model at first. But once opened and viewed I can only say excellent in both model and the way it’s boxed. Very high quality for the price paid. I will definitely be considering buying other models in the future and recommending you to other people too.

Excellent industrial loco, good performance & build quality, already own one of Hattons original releases so knew what to expect. ‘Wallace’ is an open rear cab version and suffered similar rear strut bend others have mentioned, due, I believe to the pressure from the tight ice cube rear protrusions pushing inwards (I trimmed these back to prevent a repeat on returning to packaging). Gentle careful pressure with tweezers rectified the bends, the open rear cab versions seem prone to this.
The only other very minor issue was the motor requiring a gentle push down to re-engage the worm gear. Personally I think the box is too big, about 2 & half times bigger than the original Hattons packaging but that is no negative reflection on the loco itself, deserving of its 5 stars.
I applaud Accurascale for enabling the model to be be avaliable to customers following Hattons closure.
