Das Ende der Produktionslinie nach 18 Jahren und vielen hundert Lokomotiven war 66779. Diese Lokomotive wurde speziell mit grüner Linie von British Railways veredelt und sollte „Evening Star“ heißen. Die Lok trug auch Gedenkglocken über den Kabinenfenstern und eine Plakette, die auf ihre Bedeutung in der Geschichte der Class 66 hinweist. Sein Erscheinungsbild spiegelte das der BR-Klasse 9F 92220, Evening Star, wider, die bekanntermaßen den Vorhang für die Dampferzeugung für British Railways fallen ließ. Bei einer Enthüllungszeremonie in York am 10. Mai 2016 versprach John Smith, CEO von GBRf, die Lokomotive dem National Railway Museum, wenn sie das Ende ihrer erwarteten Lebensdauer erreicht. Es trägt immer noch seine spezielle grüne BR-Lackierung und ist im ganzen Land bei allen Arten von GBRf-Arbeiten zu sehen.

Unser Class 66-Modell basiert auf der preisgekrönten "Accura-Standard"-Plattform mit allradgetriebene sechsachsige Drehgestelle, ein leistungsstarker Motor mit zwei Schwungmassen und ein marktführendes Elektronikpaket.

Highly detailed OO scale model, 1:76.2 scale

  • Separately applied etched metal/plastic detail parts, including grab handles, steps, wipers, etc.

  • Dummy knuckle couplers fitted where relevant
  • Kinetic NEM coupler mounts at correct height and mini-tension-lock couplers
  • “Easi-mag” lift off roof panel to access the decoder and DC light switches

YET ANOTHER MASTERPIECE FROM ACCURASCALE

Well I'm not surprised anymore when opening a loco from accurascale from the packaging and the loco box all oozes sheer class and of coarse not forgetting the contents in the box .Both the sight sound and performance of the evening star was second to none......So glad I waited until Accurascale came up with this rare beauty and I was going to get one from Bachmann but so glad I didn't. Whoever manages to get their hands on one of these won't be disappointed. It's outstanding.

Chuffed to Bits with Evening Star!

I am delighted to get my hands on this exclusive and historical model and my first impressions are this is ging to be a favourite runner for many years. I had the crew well before my loco arrived and this will add to the detail the model possesses. It programmed flawlessly and the sound file is exceptional.

Another beautiful 66 from Accurscale. When the spares came up I couldn’t resist myself and grab my 5th.

Does not disappoint, the livery and detail on the loco are crisp, the running performance is super and the sound plus lights just round off what may just be the best OO scale locomotive I have ever seen.

Another excellent Accurascale model. Great detail, flawless livery application and runs smoothly out of the box, right down to a crawl with none of the flaws of its Hattons predecessor.
